Hello fellow Earthlings,
Everything is chaotic and crazy in the world right now, so I'm going to write every day to try and fell some connection to the outside world. Today has been my first day in isolation, and it's already feeling a little weird. I managed to get through a fair amount of Uni readings and had plenty of cuddles with my dog. She loves the fact that there is now always a lap for her to sleep on.
My main mission of the day was to have a conversation that wasn't about the current state of the world. Has anyone else noticed that this seems to be all we talk about now? It can't be healthy to be focusing on a virus predominantly. So I got my family to play the 50 states game. Watching Australian's argue over the names US names is always entertaining and will give you at least 30 minutes of virus-free conversation. I have also gathered a few board games we can play the next time we need a break from all of this. All of this will probably only keep me entertained for a little while, but I think it is helpful to find ways to connect in a fun, positive way when times are hard. There is plenty of study I need to do and I also have a giant pile of books to keep my brain occupied, we're all going to get through this together.
Let me know in the comments what you're doing to take your mind off things and don't forget to wash your hands.
