Do you ever have one of those moments where you discover the most incredible travel tour, but then you see the price and a part of your soul dies? Well, that has been me for the past few weeks. While I doubt I'll ever be able to afford to do an eight-month-long world cruise, I can put together an only slightly unrealistic travel bucket list. So, in no particular order, here are the places I would go if I ever won the lottery.
1. Germany (The Romantic Road)
I have been to Germany once before and fell head over heels in love. Next time I would love to experience the magic of The Romantic Road, explore the small towns and see the whimsical castles.
Does anyone else remember that Mary-Kate and Ashley movie set in the Bahamas? I think that was the only movie of theirs I ever saw, but it certainly left an impression.
3. English Castles
In particular, I'd love to see Hampton Court. For those who don't know, I'm rather into the history of the British Monarchs, so this palace is at the top of my list.
There are so many interesting looking places in Canada, but the one that appeals to me the most is Montreal. It has been on my bucket list so long that I can no longer remember exactly what it was that I wanted to see so severely.
I think I honestly want to see as much of Scotland as humanly possible. All the cities look amazing, the castles as clearly stunning, and who wouldn't want to go tasting at some of the breweries and distilleries? Also, the Shetland Islands are a thing, and we know I can't resist that.
A lot of amazing tropical islands can be a touch confusing and rather expensive to get to from Australia, however, Fiji is close enough that getting there isn't stress and far enough away that not everybody goes there.
There are so many awesome looking places in Japan, but I think I'm the most interested in Kyoto and Nara. Everything seems so impressive that I'd probably want to do a tour of the whole country.
I don't think I've ever really considered travelling to Norway before I saw pictures of this gorgeous place.
9. New York
I go through phases where I become obsessed with the idea of visiting New York, but it's so expensive that the obsession doesn't last long. At some point I would love to explore it, but that will be way into the future.
This has been on my travel bucket list longer than any other place, so I guess I'll need to find a way to make it happen sooner rather than later.
